    Hello

I was filming a television feature 数字电影 in Wuxi during November last year.  The show is called " Master of thief Zhi Cheng"神偷时迁.  He was one of the outlaws in the Famous" Water Margin"水浒传 story in China.  As some of you might be familiar with the Water margin story already.   They are like Robin Hood back in the old days in Liang shan 梁山 (Liang Mountain ) region.

As for my character Zhi Cheng.  People also called him "The Flea on the Drum" 鼓上蚤.  Meaning he was so light-footed, he can land on a drum without making a sound.  He was master at stealing, crawling on walls and roof tops.  I really feel like a ninja and Indiana Jones playing this character.

As for the mission in the film.  He was sent to steal a Gold plated Armor 雁翎甲 which was worn by Zhao Yuen 赵云 in the Three kingdoms period.  The Armor was kept in the treasure room at a general's house.

    So here I go...

Hmmm..  what's in the cage? Oh, the armor

how am I gonna get up there?

got shot by a boobie trap!!

    Almost got it!!

Below are some Misc.  Photos from the film.

    Studying a potential victim

    Asking for information

    Following the victim

    Master at disguise
    an imperial guard

    an ugly girl

start training at a young age.

That was how I hurt my hand in that scene.  one of the wooden fence landed on my hand.  I put some bandages on, then a stocking to cover the white bandage and kept on filming.......

Flying off a tree is a must at training camp.

    So is hugging trees

    A little time for romance

the 3 students at the school of theives

There you see my wrapped up hand.

    Got the treasure!!

    My cape is super long....

    Fighting my way out!!

took off my mask for a second for fresh air!!  now I look like an Arabian woman.

Got the treasure and rode off to the sunset.

    thanks for watching!!

    Hello Y'all

The Brand new 2009 Johnny Walker TV commercial is out.  A friend just told me they have seen it in Mainland and Taiwan.  Taiwan has been airing them like crazy,  he saw it at least 50 times on one channel per night.

Remember the one I've done couple years ago. It has five different episodes,    The new one has two.  it is a sequel to the last one, so the story actually continues..

Here are some behind the scene photos.

    enjoy!!

    hello

Last month,  I did a film with Derrick Yee, a very talented director in Hong Kong.  It was a great opportunity work with him.   Daniel Wu was in the same film too.  The last time me and Daniel worked on the same film was "2000 A.D"  back in 1999,  that was when we first met.   Although we did "Heavenly Kings" together which was our own project.  But we haven't worked on the same film for a long time.   So as for Louis Koo.  we did a film together back in '97 also.  We didn't had a chance to film together till now.

Here is a little preview of one of my character in the film,  I played two characters....

  • Volunteer work for Habitat Work Project.

    hello all

I was very honored to become a volunteer  to work for charity work project.  The build project was organized by Habitat for Humanity. Nearly 3,000 Habitat for Humanity volunteers dedicated 166 homes in Thailand, Vietnam, China, Laos and Cambodia just within 2009. The houses were built or repaired as part of Habitat’s annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project, where the former U.S. president and first lady helped raise awareness about the need for affordable housing and built homes in partnership with low-income earners.

I've learned about this foundation through my buddy Daniel Wu and 24 herbs.  March this year, they  volunteer to help re-build sichuan after the earth quake from last year.  But I wasn't able to go cause of  my filming work in Thailand.  But this time, I will not miss my chance to do this charity work that is so meaningful.

Every time when a disaster hits,  people around the world gather and donate money to a charity organization, or red cross, etc.  I was one of them who always help out by donating money.   Although I can not be a hundred percent sure where the money ends up afterwards.   How many cash or materials will be given to the ones that needs them? I really don't know.

I always believe by doing actual work is the most meaningful and truthful way to help out.   I got so much satisfaction from working hard, laying down each brick until we end up with a solid brick wall.   This is actually what I've done this trip in Sichuan, China this time.

The work project took place at Qion Lai city in Sichuan last week.  We were building 3 blocks of six stories apartments.  Daniel wu, Lisa S. and Ken Wong was there for the build too.  Four of us build for 2 1/2 days. I was so happy to see so many volunteers around the world helping out at the work project this time.  There were 200+ volunteers working very hard trying to help families who can not afford to live in a normal home.  While the last day we had the honored to be invited by habitat to have lunch with the former US president Jimmy Carter.

A photo with Mr & Mrs. Carter

    Smoothing out the Cement

    Daniel laying down some bricks

    Lisa working hard....

Ken Wong went nuts from working long hours..

This is how they bully on me at break times....

zoom in at look at the writing on Daniel's hard hat.

This is what we had to say to him..

A photo from lunch.   Daniel ate all the food.

Yeah lisa,  go ahead.  Laugh it up......

Mr. Carter gave a speech to encourage all the volunteers.

    Our finished wall.

    A happy memory.
  • My design on a Eames Elephant stool
     |  |  )

    Monday, Nov 23, 2009 10:06PM / Members only

    Hello

Lately,  I had a chance to do a design for a non-profit organization called (Ambassadors of Designs).  They held an event named "Detour".

    The Detour's project aims are,
-Arouse wider public interest in design and the hong kong design community.

    - Encourage cross-disciplinary and cross-border dialogue between design professionals from       East Asia and the world

-Show case young, emerging Hong Kong designers to the world media and visitors.

-Promote creativity amongst Hong kong students and youth through participation.

-Create a collective plateform and favourable environment for the dissemination of the    studio-based design research and output.

A furniture store in Hong Kong "Aluminium" sponsored the Elephant stool designed by Ray Eames in the 50's and was never launched in the past until 2009.   These elephant stools will be design by some art/design students, Hong Kong designers, architects, celebrities. Either to hand paint or attach sticker onto the Eames Elephants.

The resulting design will be exhibited in one of the Aluminium store in Hong Kong between December 3-9th 2009.

After the opening event, the individual pieces will be posted on the Detour website for "Bidding".  The money will go back  to Ambassadors of Design for future events.

I felt this event has a same goal as Alivenotdead.  That was our(alive boys) idea on helping and promoting any creative artists around the world.  And art/design is also one of the category  amongst all the creative field.

So here is my design.   (HALF an HALF) something that will represent  our site.  "Alive" not "Dead".
    (hand painted with Acrylic paint)

    Right side - Alive elephant

    Left side-  Dead elephant

    enjoy!!
