  • FIRE SAFETY

    Good evening everyone, last night a friend of mine's studio caught on fire and was totally destroyed.  This is a studio that I have worked in many times modeling.  No one was injured, but he told me this is a wake up call to fire safety.  He asked the following questions which I'm now going to ask you:

    1. Do you have fire alarms in your house?
    2. Do you have a ladder if you are not on ground level?
    3. Do you have a plan of escape for you and your family?
    4. Do you have your computer backed up on a cloud?

    Please take the time to do these simple tasks if you answer no to any of these questions. This fire moved quickly and destroyed 3 buildings completely.

    Hey, Candace! Did you read the news about the little mishap at the set of Resident Evil 5? Pretty scary. In a way, I am glad I managed to dodge a bullet. I got rejected for this movie because I wasn't Japanese enough. Go figure~!

    And production on Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim don't start till mid-November. Really excited about this one!

    I'm making a cap for you. It is a new style of cap, there is nothing like that. I'm working on the design for six months and I think I'll end it at the end of the year. If you like, then I'll produce it. If you do not like I'm abandoning the idea. It is very much more beautiful than a "new era". It's a special cap for women. I thought about putting its name as "Candace" or "kita", but it is difficult to pronounce in Portuguese (or Latin languages​​).

    No woman in the world will have a cap like yours. Because there is not a hat and a cap. I still need to create a name for it.

    It is a tribute to you. I hope that my cap has at least 10% of your dedication to others. So my hat would be too beautiful.

    I forgot to mention...
    Total Recall's still casting for harajuku girls. They need some for the Sept 13th shoot. You could probably contact 'em about it and check out some new flicks at the Toronto International Film Festival in the meantime. Heard production is finished by the end of September.

    Wish I could return to the set but I think they are already done with the Chinatown scenes. I basically finished my 4 days of filming since last Tuesday and Kate Beckinsale is said to have already finished all her scenes. I actually wouldn't mind doing more film extra gigs again. I also hope I didn't reveal too much of the movie since we all signed non-disclosure agreements before starting work. I also hope the producers wouldn't mind it if I started a facebook group for the other film extras to reconnect after the shoot. It was a tiring 15-16 hour day at the set after all. Couldn't possibly grab everyone's contact.

    Hey, Candace! "Total Recall" is looking for Harajuku girls. I've actually been on the set for a couple of weeks and worked about 4 days. Really cool set and Colin Farrell's really professional. Too bad I had my glasses off when Jessica Biel dropped by to visit. I can't see shit without my specs. Had a really fun time working on this movie. In fact, it felt like summer camp. We had a shuttle service via a yellow school bus.

    Last weekend was great. Next one probably will be better. Just got a new road bike and I'm gettin improved on slackline as well. Everything without mentioning the beauty of Praia da Costa beach.
